08 May Bugfest Brilliance: Reception Gets Up Close with Nature’s Minibeasts!
The reception children had an exciting visit from Bugfest, where they enjoyed a hands-on experience holding a variety of fascinating bugs. Some of them included millipedes, centipedes, variation of stick insects, an African snail, a cockroach, beetles, and even a tarantula.
During the session, they learned about where these bugs come from, what they eat, and the habitats they live in. They also discovered how important bugs are in helping plants grow and keeping our planet healthy. The children showed wonderful curiosity and confidence throughout and they were incredibly brave!
