24 Oct Black History Month Celebration
We were delighted to welcome a huge number of families onto the playground to join in our Black History Month Celebration this morning. Over the past month in school we have shone a light on the important figures not only from history, but also the modern day, who have made incredible contributions to our society. From music and singing, to cooking and artwork, all the children from across the school have engaged in a variety of activities that highlight the richness and diversity of Black culture, culminating with our performance of two songs this morning.
We are grateful to all our staff, children, and families who contributed to making this celebration a success. It was a wonderful opportunity to educate, commemorate, and inspire our school community, reinforcing the importance about kindness, respect and pride in who we are. Thank you to all the parents and carers who came along. Your support means so much to us. It shows that we stand together to share our pride and respect for one another. Let’s carry forward the spirit of Black History Month throughout the year, continuing to learn and grow together.
