01 Dec Year 5 & 6 Girls Football Tournament
In a bumper week for sports competitions, two teams of our year 5 & 6 girls represented the school on Tuesday at the School Games competition in Chingford. It was the largest girls’ football competition ever held in the borough with 37 teams taking part. Both teams did amazingly well, with many of the children competing for the school for the very first time. Team Blue won one game and were unlucky not to win more in Group 2, whilst Team Black topped their group, and made their way through the quarter and then semi final without conceding a goal. Sadly, they couldn’t quite maintain their record in the final, losing 3-0 to a well-drilled St Mary’s team. Well done to all the girls and thank you to the parents that came along to support.
