16 May Year 3 Trip to Barleylands Farm
Our year 3 children went on an especially exciting trip on Tuesday this week as they boarded coaches to Barleylands Farm in Essex. The children were able to put their learning in school about food and farming into practice when they spent a session making pizzas using flour that had been milled from wheat grown on the farm. Perhaps the highlight of the day (apart from lunch!) was the ride on the tractor trailer, as well as having the opportunity to feed a range of farm animals, from goats to sheep to ponies. A huge thank you goes to all the parent volunteers who were able to accompany the children on the trip.
