13 Mar Y4 at The Natural History Museum
This week, our Year 4 classes enjoyed an exciting and memorable visit to the Natural History Museum to support their learning in geography. The trip brought their Restless Earth topic to life as pupils explored the fascinating world of volcanoes and the powerful forces that shape our planet.
During the visit, the children had the opportunity to see a wide range of volcanic rocks and minerals and learn more about how volcanoes form and erupt. One of the highlights was experiencing the museum’s famous earthquake simulator, which gave pupils a real sense of the power of tectonic activity.
The visit provided a fantastic opportunity to deepen their understanding of volcanoes while inspiring curiosity about the natural world. The children represented the school brilliantly and asked some excellent questions throughout the day.
