12 Jul Summer Fair Roundup & Thank You From Friends of The Winns!
Despite the wet weather, spirits were not dampened at our Summer Fair last Saturday! We hope you enjoyed the cakes, cooking, games and books on offer, as well as the African drumming and choir who performed. A huge thank you to everyone who came along to help us raise funds for the school, but an even bigger thank you to the volunteers of Friends of The Winns who ensured that the day was a huge success! We will be able to let you know a final total raised in the coming weeks, but we expect it to be around £5000 including proceeds from the raffle, Central estate agent boards and grants from the William Morris Big Local (please see page 2 for a full list of thank yous!). This is a fantastic achievement, which helps keep us well on track to raise £30K for our main playground redevelopment. Thank you once again!
Thank you to all those who came to the Summer Fair last weekend. Despite the weather being unsummery, it was a great turn out and great fun.
