18 Mar Neurodiversity Celebration Week
We have recently celebrated Neurodiversity Celebration Week in school, with children engaging in a range of activities linked to neurodiversity. Everyone took part in an assembly at the start of the week which centred on ‘Celebrating our Unique Strengths and Differences’, before continuing the discussion in class assembly times throughout the week.
Approximately 15-20% of the population has a neurological difference. Instead of labelling people with deficits or disorders, when we use the term neurodiversity, we take a balanced view of an individual’s unique strengths and challenges. If you would like more information, please visit the Neurodiversity Celebration Week’s resource page for parents.
