23 May Happy Birthday Cybi!
It was our school dog Cybi’s first birthday on Monday this week. He was a very spoiled dog with enough treats and new toys to last a lifetime! Cybi has continued to visit classes and has recently been spending time at lunchtimes in the Quiet Area of the playground. He has also been meeting and greeting children as they arrive through the big playground gate on Elphinstone Road. We have already seen how having a dog in school can help children regulate their emotions, encourage them to practise reading and even begin to overcome any fear they may have had. We are looking forward to many more years with Cybi as part of The Winns team.
