22 Nov Arc Theatre Visit: Building Critical Thinking and Community
This week, our Year 5 and Year 6 pupils were treated to a powerful and thought-provoking performance by Arc Theatre as part of a programme designed to counter hate and extremism. Through drama, discussion and relatable scenarios, the children explored themes of respect, identity, online behaviour and the impact of the choices we make. The programme encourages pupils to think critically, to recognise and challenge harmful ideas, and to understand the importance of unity and shared British Values within a diverse community.
Our children were fully engaged throughout the performance, responding with maturity and curiosity. They asked the theatre team some genuinely probing questions, demonstrating not only their understanding but also their willingness to reflect deeply on the issues raised. It was a valuable and inspiring experience for everyone involved.
