13 Feb A Cultural Journey: Year 2’s China Discovery Day
Year 2 had a wonderful day on Monday exploring and celebrating the end of their Geography unit on China in style! The day began with an exciting dance workshop, where children experienced the energy and joy of Chinese Lunar New Year parades – bringing the celebrations right to The Winns!
In the afternoon, the children rotated through a range of art and craft activities. These included a calligraphy class, sculpting their own Terracotta Army figures using clay, and creating colourful Year of the Horse sun catchers led by our Year 2 teachers.
It was a fun, engaging day that allowed the children to learn about Chinese culture while expressing themselves through movement and art. Well done Year 2!
