15 May Year 5 Trip to The British Museum
All of our year 5 classes headed to The British Museum on Monday this week on a trip to tie in with their learning about the Benin Kingdom. In the museum, the children spent some time looking at artwork from the Benin Kingdom, particularly the Benin Bronze plaques. Alongside this, the year group attended a workshop about the people of Benin, including the role that Kings (Obas) and Queens played in Benin society. A big thank you to the parent volunteers who accompanied the classes on the trip.
