This week in school we have been celebrating Black History Month by learning about the Empire Windrush, and the influence that black culture has had in our modern society. The children have learned about a range of important people including Baroness Floella Benjamin, Denzel Forrester and Aldwyn Roberts. They have completed fact files and worked on recreating their own versions of art work in the style of some of the artists they have learned about. Look out for a new display in the main lobby after half term to showcase all of the children’s work!
