09 Oct Drumming and Dance with Mbilla Arts
The Winns was alive with rhythm on Monday as we welcomed Mbilla Arts for a day of drumming and dance as part of our Black History Month celebrations. Children in Key Stage 1 joined a special assembly, while Years 3–6 took part in workshops, exploring rhythm and movement before bringing their drumming and dancing together in a shared performance.
The sessions gave children the opportunity to try something new and work together creatively. The visit also had a lovely connection to our school community: two of the visiting artists are parents of a former Winns pupil!
